DVD Review – “Nick Jr. Favorites: Go Green”

Every Kind of Mom.com  Rating:  4 1/2 of 5 Stars

Nick Jr. Favorites: Go Green
Scheduled Release March 30, 2010

I have to be frank and say that I am really sick of the phrase “Go Green” and that the contant talk about global warming makes me want to poke a sharp stick in my eye…  BUT  I am in favor of teaching our children to not be wasteful, be respectful to nature and to help keep our earth clean.  So this Nick Jr. Favorites: Go Green! DVD is a fun way to help create awareness of taking care of and respecting our planet.

You can treat your kids to over two hours of entertainment with environmental-themed episodes from Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego, Go!, The Wonder Pets!, Yo Gabba Gabba!, Blue’s Clues and Ni Hao, Kai-lan – including the following adorable episodes:

  • Dora the Explorer:  “Bugga Bugga”
  • Go, Diego, Go!: “Manatee’s Mermaid Rescue”
  • Wonder Pets!: ” “Save the Tree” – “Save the Elephant”
  • Yo Gabba Gabba!: “Green”
  • Blue’s Clues: “What Does Blue Want to Make Out of Recycled Things?”
  • Ni Hao, Kai-lan:  “The Place Where We All Live”

This really is a cute way to teach your children about personal responsibility, how to creatively use recycled things, and take care of the planet. So, even if you are not a “Big Green” enthusiast, it’s a great way to teach your kids to respect the planet and not be wasteful.

As I said before, I am not a “Go Green” fanatic, but I do believe in not trashing our planet.  This is one DVD your kids will love and learn from, and its over 2 hours worth of their favorite Nickelodeon characters.

Scheduled Street Release if for March 30, 2010, but it’s available now to be pre-ordered at Amazon.com for release-date delivery. You can also check out which DVDs are currently featured in  EveryKindofMom.com’s Free Giveaways
