Review:  Max & Ruby: A Visit with Grandma

(Street Date: June 15, 2010)

Max and Ruby is a children’s series that is so pure that is just captures the attention of my kids over and over again — even with the simplest of story lines and graphics.  This latest DVD from Nickelodeon is going to be out on June 15, and if your kids like Max and Ruby, this is one they will likely not tire of.  I definitely recommend this DVD as one for the home collection. For those who have never seen the Max & Ruby series, Ruby and here little brother Max are sibling bunnies (that act like real children, of course) and explore the simple things in life.  Your child learns about life, love and being kind, and gets a few giggles in between.  It is truly a feel-good, relaxing show for your young kids to watch.  Each episode is usually broken down into smaller groupings, so the story lines can be shorter than some others children’s series.  The following are the the episodes included in Max & Ruby: A Visit with Grandma:

  • Grandma’s Treasure Hunt / Ruby’s Jigsaw Puzzle / Ruby’s Recital
  • Ruby’s Rainbow / Ruby’s Home Tweet Home / Max’s Mudpie
  • Ruby’s Missing Tune / Ruby’s Home Run / Ruby’s Handstand

  • Ruby’s Good Neighbor Report / Candy Counting / Ruby’s New Shoes
