If you or your kids are craving cookies, and you either don’t have the ingredients or the time to do it the regular way, you can make easy and delicious cookies in minutes — simply by using a regular package of brownie mix.
Brownie mix cookies are great, because they can be made in much less time than a pan of brownies and don’t require anything additional other than what’s already listed to add on the box — namely water, eggs and oil. I have tried many different ways to modify the mix, including adding flour and modifying the added ingredients slightly, however the simplest and easiest way to make the brownie mix cookie dough is to cut the ingredients listed on the box in half. For instance, if it asks for a 1/4 cup water, cut it to only two tablespoons, if it asks for two eggs, add only one, etc.
You must modify the mix or the cookies will not turn out. But, even if you only have the mix and have tossed out the box, the basic ingredients for making cookies out of just about any basic box brownie mix are as follows:
1 package brownie mix
2 tablespoons water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Optional: add chocolate chips or your favorite nuts to the mix
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Farenheit. Mix all ingredients together and stir until mixed well. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.
