The Kardashians are a Hot Mess… Please Make Them Go Away

The Kardashians are the poisoned apple the public longs to bite

Kim Kardashian has been in the forefront of entertainment news for the past few years and, while she is definitely adept at marketing her brand (herself), enough is enough. The whole Kardashian family is a money-grubbing mess, and with the latest wedding/divorce debacle, its time that their extended 15 minutes of fame was over.

The reason I start off with Kim Kardashian is she is pretty much the center of the whole Kardashian clan when is comes to the media. Lets think about why Kim K is famous anyway. Sure, she’s the daughter of famous OJ Simpson lawyer, her step-dad is Bruce Jenner (a great example of why one should shy away from plastic surgery and procedures), she dated football superstar Reggie Bush, and she got some attention by trolling around with Paris Hilton, but what really started her name-branding was her home-made sex tape.

Glitter is Dangerous: Check Out These Three Relatively Unknown Consequences of Using Glitter

Glitter is Dangerous: Three unknown side effects of using glitter

Glitter has been every girl’s favorite art resource, decoration and/or accessory since the dawn of time. Harmless and fun, glitter can make everyone’s day just a little bit brighter, right?

Not if you have my teenager as a child.

Apparently there are some occupational hazards associated with glitter, all previously unknown to me, of course, until my teen got a hold of it.

“Notorious and Notable” at the Museum of City of New York

“Notorious and Notable: 20th Century Women of Style” is an exhibit drawn from the Museum of City of New York’s vast collection of costumes and textiles along with jewelry sourced from private collections through the National Jewelry Institute that attempts to showcase the style statements of 80 of New York’s celebrity women from the last century. More of a historical documentation than a pointer towards fashion trends, this exhibition is mounted on mannequins lined up in rows on both sides of an aisle, giving a viewer the experience of walking through the lives of those showcased.

New TV Show, ‘Up All Night,’ Could Turn Out To Be a Favorite

Up All Night on NBC|Christina Applegates bedroom fantasy

saw a little clip the other day from Christina Applegate’s new television series, Up All Night, and I have to admit that the title threw me a little at first. The video clip, alluding to Appegate’s character’s bedroom fantasy, led me to think this was just going to be “another one of those shows” – I was wrong. It was hilarious.

Christina Applegate will be starring as the wife of Will Arnett on the new show debuting on NBC on September 14. The show features both characters as they attempt to balance a newborn and their busy work schedules.

Reality Stars Dissed by Hollywood Walk of Fame on Facebook

Hollywood Walk of Fame Disses Reality Stars

In the biggest slam ever, someone on the Facebook page for the Hollywood Walk of Fame responded to whether or not Kim Kardashian would be considered for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by stating the following:

Is Amy Winehouse’s Death Really “Unexplained?”

Amy Winehouse death was not shocking

adly another young music talent was found dead as Amy Winehouse was discovered lifeless in her London home Saturday. The police, for now, are calling her death “unexplained” – but is it really?

Winehouse was an incredibly talented and tormented singer/songwriter, drowning her inner demons with intense drug abuse, alcohol, and physical altercations. That kind of abuse on a living human body takes its toll, and even after one discontinues the destructive behavior often a body cannot fully recover.

The Grammy award winning singer may not have an exact cause of death, but it is hardly unexplained, and the strange part is that several news outlets are calling it “tragic and shocking.” Hearing about Winehouse’s death was indeed tragic, but it was about the least shocking news bit I’ve heard all year.

Last year I published the best discounts and promos for Sea World Parks, and while some of the promos are ongoing, it was time for a 2011 update. One thing is always certain about Sea World though, if you look hard enough, you will never have to pay full price for a ticket! Since there [...]

New Kids DVD – “Dora the Explorer: It’s Haircut Day!”

dorahaircut

First haircuts don’t always bother every kid, but they sure have a hard time sitting still long enough to cut their hair in a semi-straight fashion – especially for girls with one-length hair, where a missed snip or two is really noticeable.

Nickelodeon has now put out a new DVD that is really cute and can help your kids know what to expect when they go get their first haircut. Plus, there’s all the other fun stuff that usually goes along with every Dora episode

Max and Ruby: Rainy Day Play! DVD

If you have read any of my reviews before, you know that my family is a big fan of the Max and Ruby series. The episodes just have a calming sweetness to them that captures the heart of young viewers 5 and under. This is no exception.

This DVD has the children joining Max and Ruby for a rainy day adventure in the all-new DVD release, Max & Ruby: Rainy Day Play!

Justin Bieber’s Hair Gets It’s Own Bodyguards

Justin Biebers hair going on tour, has bodyguards

In about probably the most ridiculous article I read on the internet, I have just discovered that not only is Justin Bieber’s hair going on tour, but it has its own bodyguards.

Apparently the Bieber lock of hair that was auctioned off on eBay last month by Ellen Degeneres for her charity
