If you are one of the lucky moms who were able to make the transition from working outside the home to working at home entirely, that’s absolutely fantastic. But aside from the newly developed time-management issues, one of the biggest challenges work at home moms face is protecting their hard work.
Whether you are embarking on a new business or simply modifying the location of the business you’ve already developed, it’s important that you remember to protect yourself from all angles.
For instance, It’s kind of like getting an anti-virus software for your computer. Trying to save a buck, you put it off – until your computer crashes. Yep, I’ve done it a few times, not even because I wanted to save money, but because I just kept saying I’d “do it later.”
The same goes for the necessity of having some sort of data-recovery and server backup service in place. If you run any part of your business online, you need those tools to protect all of your hard work.
How would you feel if you had put weeks or months of work into something, only to have it disappear at absolutely the worst time? I personally have put a lot of effort into working inside the home, and there is nothing worse taking a loss when it could have been prevented.
Working at home can be quite a challenge, but it is much less stressful when you have one less thing to worry about. Protect yourself and back up your stuff!
